1867 - TODAY
OUR YUMMY STORY
Our family farm was established in 1876, originally a dairy farm. Although primarily a dairy farm, corn, wheat, hay and oats were grown. In 1957 the first blueberry bush was planted by George Fritz, Sr. with blueberries now being our top crop.
Family continues to own and operate the farm. Brothers William and George Fritz, Jr. along with their children partner to continue the family business, now named Brookside Farms. This makes the family farm a sixth generation farm, fifth generation as blueberry growers.
The farm has three retail/u-pick locations in Gobles, Paw Paw, and Otsego/Martin.
All berries not sold through the retail locations are sold commercially, exclusively through Naturipe Farms. The farm has 350 acres of blueberries and we custom harvest and pack 500 acres in the Holland Muskegon area.
